Tipitina’s Music Office Co-Ops are statewide workforce development centers for musicians, filmmakers and other digital media workers in Louisiana. First established in 2003 as a pilot project in New Orleans, the program now operates in three additional Louisiana cities: Alexandria, Lake Charles, and Shreveport as well as in Commerce, Texas.
The Co-Ops offer a wide range of software, equipment, workspace and resources to those who cannot afford, or do not otherwise have access:
Supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Arts Council New Orleans. Funding has also been provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Art Works.
