Tipitina’s Foundation accepts donations of instruments in playable condition to be distributed to school band programs. Donations to Tipitina’s Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. As the donor, you will be provided with a statement of your donation from the Foundation.
How to Help
Donate your used instrument. It’s as simple as that.
We accept all brass, woodwind, and string instruments in addition to mouthpieces, necks, and hardware. Due to fluctuations in need and space availability, we currently only accept larger instruments and equipment (ex. pianos, keyboards, PA systems, etc.) on a case by case basis – please call ahead to confirm which larger items we are currently accepting.
Please return a completed Instrument Donation Form to firstname.lastname@example.org or include the form with your packaged instrument.
*To ship an instrument for FREE via fedex please call Tipitina’s Foundation at 504-309-7934 where we will instruct you on how to drop off at your local fedex location.
As the donor, you will receive a receipt for your donation. Instrument and in-kind donations to Tipitina’s Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Prefer to drop off your instrument?
Instrument donations can also be dropped off at any of our Tipitina’s Music Office Co-Op Locations, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 5pm.
