Instruments A Comin'

Instruments A Comin' strives to increase youth participation in New Orleans area music programs by providing new and refurbished instruments to area school band programs. IAC is an ongoing effort that has placed more than $2.7 million worth of instruments in more than 80 Louisiana schools and after school band programs.  

Sunday Youth Music Workshops

Sunday Youth Music Workshops offer young, aspiring musicians from all walks of life the unique opportunity to play with and learn from some of the area's most experienced and revered musicians. Every workshop gives students a hands-on improvisational approach to music education.

Tipitina's Internship Program

The Tipitina's Internship Program, under the direction of artistic Director Donald Harrison, Jr., is an after-school jazz performance program for high school students focusing on instrumental performance, recording, music theory, and career professionalism.

Music Office Co-Ops

Tipitina's Music Office Co-Ops provide fully-equipped workspace for musicians, filmmakers, and other digital media professionals in addition to training tools and resources. Co-Ops are currently operating in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Alexandria, and Monroe.

Tipitina’s Foundation supports Louisiana and New Orleans' irreplaceable music community and preserves the state’s unique musical cultures. The Foundation grew out of the Tipitina’s music venue, a revered New Orleans cultural icon that continues to be instrumental in the development and promotion of Louisiana music around the world. Tipitina's Foundation promotes childhood music education, the professional development of adult musicians, and the increased profile and viability of Louisiana music as a cultural, educational, and economic resource.
